The Danish Youth cinema roams the Lebanese regions!

From October 29 till November 16, 2012, the Danish Embassy in Lebanon is organizing a series of film screenings for children and youth in different Lebanese regions - “Danish Youth Cinema on the Road - Lebanon 2012” - in collaboration with schools, cultural centers and public libraries. All the films are dubbed into Arabic.

This event, organized for the first time in Lebanon, aims to introduce the Danish culture to Lebanese children and youth through screenings and discussions with the audience. The movies revolve around social and educational topics which are of relevant to children and youth and directly related to their daily lives, problems and aspirations.

The Danish films target children and youth from 6 till 18 years old and include animations, drama, short and long movies. More than 2000 children and youth will take part in this event organized in 7 Lebanese regions: Tripoli, Zouk Mikael, Bourj Hammoud, Nabatieh, Hermel, Baakline and Saida.

This initiative has encountered so far a great enthusiasm and collaboration from all the partners and we are looking forward to meet, discuss and share ideas with children and youth from all over Lebanon!
